Square Plates Heritage Peach

Gathering with family and friends for a sweet fruit tart is one of my favourite afternoon traditions. Measuring roughly six inches on each side, this square stoneware plate brings a beautiful geometric shape and a touch of orchard warmth to your dining table. We form the clay with clean, slightly raised edges and frame the rim in a soft honey-peach wash. I hand-paint two plump, blushing valley peaches in opposite corners, finishing them with bright green leaves. The clear glaze allows the toasted speckles of our Canadian clay to show through perfectly. It serves as a wonderful resting spot for freshly baked lavender shortbread, summer pastries, or a thick slice of sourdough bread topped with homemade jam.

Every single plate receives careful individual attention from our small team of makers in the studio. I formulate our glazes from scratch using raw pigments to capture the golden hues of the local valley. Please allow two to three weeks for us to shape, paint, and kiln-fire your new plate. When your order is ready to travel, we rely on our strict careful-boxing standard. Your pottery sits snug in its inner paper wrap and then floats safely inside a larger sustainable cardboard box for the journey to your front door.
